“I’ll post all the pictures from our wonderful time yesterday later tonight, but the beautiful Communion dress Molly wore deserves an explanation all on its own.

My wedding dress has hung in Molly’s closet since she was born, and she’s always loved it. She’d try it on from time to time, and of course she would ask a million questions.

When I suggested that we make Molly’s Communion dress out of the wedding dress, she loved the idea, and finding Jennie Fear from Willow Bean Studio (thank you, Jennifer Raneri!) was perfection! We sat with Jennie as I described how I loved the smocking of my girls’ dresses when they were little, and how First Holy Communion was like the “final” little girl event. Jennie got excited, crossed out her original drawings, and drew up what I think is the most beautiful First Communion dress ever!

The first time Molly put it on, she spun in circles, and I almost cried. Yesterday, my little girl walked up the exact same aisle I walked up at St. Stanislaus Church for both my First Communion and when I wore the same dress she was wearing 12 years ago on my wedding day. Same dress, same church, same excitement. Thank you, Jennie Fear, for making Molly’s Communion an even more special event for our family!”
